RHCNA
Rooyate Hilal Committee of North America is a national organization comprising of Ulama with brances all over the country. It was created in 1999 and for over half a decade, the RHNCA has announced the Islamic dates based on the sighing of the moon according to the sunnah of Rasoolullah Sall Allahu Alaihi wasallam.
Every month arrangements for moon sighting are made. The new moon is announced based on the principles of Sharia'h and in the light of Hadeeth and Quraan. Announcements are not made until the evidence is completely ascertained. All the centers of Ahle-sunnat-waljamat are assistants of RHCNA. Under the leadership of Hazrat Mufti Mohammed Qamarul Hasan Qadri, Khateeb and Imam of Al-Noor Mosque, this committee is positively accomplishing the task of moon sighting.
The most important objective of this committee is to give accurate information to the Muslims and to protect ibadahs such as for Ramadan, Eid ul fitr, Eid ul Adha etc. from being wasted. Apart from these critical days, RHCNA's goal is also to inform Muslims about other important days such, Muharram, Meelad-un-Nabi, Meraj, Nisf Sha'abaan.
